5th June 2009 - During Volunteers Week 2009 the Volunteer Centre hosted a special "Thank you event for local volunteers sponsored by Maldon District Council and Moat Housing. 30 local volunteers attended to receive certificates from Cllr Mrs Sheila Young.

| 6th April 2009 - On Monday 6th April 2009 Harbour Meeting Point celebrated its first year of providing support to the local community. Cllr Sheila Young joined the volunteers and visitors at the project to find out more about the support offered to the community by the volunteers and also to help launch a collection of resources and activities | |
