    About us

The Volunteer Centre – Maldon and District provides information and support to anyone thinking about volunteering locally.

Volunteers are vital to the running of many community groups and there are many ways you can get involved. Whatever your interests, time commitment or ability there is something you could do to help

  • to give something back to the community,
  • share your skills,
  • meet new people,
  • develop vocational skills,
  • regain your confidence in a work environment,
  • build confidence and self esteem,
  • become involved in local activities

Volunteers are needed in a range of roles across the Maldon District and any time you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

If you would like the Volunteer Centre to send you details of some vacancies that might be of interest to you please fill out a Volunteer form and Email to volunteering@maldoncvs.co.uk

To read more information about the benefits of volunteering, the kind of roles available and hear from people already volunteering download our Introduction to Volunteering Handbook (1.5MB)

The Volunteer Centre also hosts the Supported Volunteering Project which provides a helping hand to anyone who wants to volunteer, but may feel that they need a bit of extra support.

If, for example, you are recovering from a period of mental ill health or have a learning disability, you might find taking the first step into volunteering a bit daunting. The Supported volunteering project aims to make this as easy as possible.

For more information on this project contact the project coordinator on 01621 851891 or email svproject@maldoncvs.co.uk. More information is also available in the factsheets and leaflet section below
