The CVS works to support the voluntary sector within the district of Maldon, promoting services and events as well as offering support, information and guidance where necessary
Policy and Procedure Advice If you are a new group setting up or if you are an established group looking to review or change your policies then the CVS can give advice on the structure and content of policies and advise on legal considerations. CVS members can request a copy of our Health Check document which gives information on common policies and procedures. Additionally information is available in our resource library.

Funding
If you are setting up a new project or need new funding for a current one then we have various software and access to databases that our members can use.
Alternatively after an initial meeting to identify need, the CVS will complete comprehensive research on a groups behalf free of charge.Click here fill out our Funding Search form Please note if you are not a CVS member you will need to register.
The CVS will support members in completing applications, bid letters and in larger cases project plans to increase the chances of a funding application being successful.
Training Maldon & District CVS working in partnership with Voluntary Sector Training (VST), an independent charity, to provide high quality, affordable and local training to the voluntary and community sector across Essex. VST runs an open programme of training covering key topics relevant to the sector and tailored training specifically arranged to meet particular needs of organisations. Training/ meeting room— to accommodate around 12 people, use of which is free of charge to our membersResource Library - an extensive collection of publications of interest to people and groups involved in the voluntary sectorEquipment for loan – our members are welcome to borrow equipment such as display boards, OHPs and television equipment for meetings , presentations etc.
Communication
The CVS hosts bi-monthly networking meetings allowing member groups to meet each other and discuss current issues.
In addition every member receives our quarterly newsletter containing updates of training, funding opportunities and events and more regular updates by Email.
We get involved in community events, often providing a forum for our members to promote their services
Legal and Constitutional Information
The CVS will assist members in setting up a constitution. To assist groups to register as a charity or apply for funding.
Members will be kept up to date with legal matters that concern them and advice offered as necessary.
Signposting and promotion
The CVS has a network of display boards and leaflet racks used to promote the activities of member groups. We offer space in our quarterly newsletter to any member who would like to promote a service or project and we refer interested parties to organisations as necessary.
