What is a Volunteer Centre?

Volunteer Centres form a national network of agencies concerned with volunteers and volunteering. They are committed to ensuring that prospective volunteers have a wider and more informed understanding of their rights and responsibilities when considering volunteering opportunities. We also include opportunities from our database in press releases, supermarket notice boards, on our website, and on the national do-it.org website for volunteers.
Guidance. We are available to discuss your volunteer needs with you, and to offer guidance about devising volunteer roles.
Good practice training. Through our partner organisation, Voluntary Sector Training, we can provide training to organisations on such issues as recruitment and retention of volunteers. Visit for more details, visit Voluntary Sector Training
Volunteering issues. We are happy to discuss with you any issues that may arise around involving volunteers, and to offer appropriate guidance.
Information. We will pass onto you any relevant information about legal issues, volunteer awards, points of interest etc.
